Perrin Canidson otter (c) Deyna otter

for you donny, with my love

Perrin giggled as her mother marked the door frame "there you go, another year taller." Kersha Canidson churred as she hugged the little otteress. Perrin looked up. "thank you mommy." the blonde haired otteress stroked her cheek. "youre welcome honey, now go wash up for dinner okay?" the little girl hurried off and Kersha stood. she brushed off her dress and smiled. such a little angel, as wild as she had been at her age. she churred tenderly and cooed as a pair of strong arms circled her from behind. "mmm hey sexy." she smiled and nuzzled back at the handsome wolf that held her. "hey puppy. how are the preparations?" her husband Adrian licked her cheek and she giggled as he answered. "all set, Deyna is getting the presents wrapped at the store now."

Adrian smiled as Perrin eagerly tore off the wrappers of her gifts. "ohh poppa thank you!" she cooed as she saw the big book. Deyna smiled. "danke." he chuckled as she happily turned the pages, reading about the various types of katana and other weapons of the period. Kersha nudged the otter, "you sure that's a good gift for a 5 year old?' Adrian grinned. "she's already learnt about in in school and we didn't get her a real sword." the otteress relaxed and little then Deyna added. "no, that's for her next birthday." Kersha gave him a shocked look then giggled as the two males high fived. "oh, you men!" she huffed, then churred as they each kissed a cheek. the next gift was a full array art set and Perrin was even happier at that. "now you can paint just like real artists, sweetie." Adrian murred as Perrin hugged him. "thank you daddy." Kersha stood and headed for the kitchen. "who wants cake?" three paws shot up in unison and she grinned. "i should have guessed. come and get it then."

Deyna and Adrian held paws as they watched Perrin enjoying her cake and talking a mile a minute while she did so. Kersha clucked and wiped her mouth, scolding her mildly not to talk with her mouth full. ice cream was also happily consumed and it was a great party. at the end of the day, all three adults helped to clean up the soapy mess that Perrin left, as usual, after her bath.

"sleep well little princess." Kersha churred as she tucked the yawning child into her bed. "night mommy, love you." Perrin hugged her neck and cooed. Kersha gently stroked a lock of hair from her forehead. "have happy dreams my child." she murmured as she watched the little otteress curl up and snore softly, holding her otter plushie close in her arms.

Adrian and Deyna were climbing into bed when Kersha appeared at the doorway. "whew." she said ans the men laughed softly. "she gets it from you." Adrian teased Deyna lightly and got a bap on the chest for his trouble "me, what about you?" Kersha giggled as she undressed and slid into bed with her husbands. "yes she is a pawful, but i wouldn't change a thing." Adrian murred as he gently touched Kersha on the cheek. "we both agree on one thing." the otteress nuzzled his paw. "whats that.?" she asked the wolf smiled as his tail thumped on the bed. "she has your beauty." Kersha blushed prettily under her fur and Deyna churred as they both held the female close. "say, what about you?" Adrian asked and Kersha looked to him. "hmm?" the wolf tilted his blue furred head. "you didn't give Perrin a birthday gift." she smiled a little. "oh, its coming." the males exchanged looks. "you mean you had to special order it?" the otteress giggled. "in a way. you see, she asked me for a very special gift that takes time to make." Deyna looked confused. "what did she ask you for?" Kersha looked up at the ceiling a moment, a soft smile on her lips."a little brother." there was a long moment of silence then both men started to chuckle. "well that explains that wild night last week." Adrian said as Deyna laid a paw gently on Kersha's tummy. "did it work?" she nodded happily. "oh yeah, the package is on its way." she giggled. both men grinned happily and held her close, kissing their mate with delight and love.

Deyna stood on the porch the next morning, looking out at the rising sun. Adrian came out with a mug in his paw and yawned. "mmm still an early riser." he smiled and Deyna half looked at him. "old habits." the wolf nuzzled his cheek. "another child on the way, what do you think about that?" there was a long moment when Deyna did not speak. Adrian sipped his morning coffee and waited. "i am happy, but still, i wonder  if i've truly been a good father to Perrin." Adrian stared at him. "of course you have! shes very happy and loves her daddy more than anything!" Deyna smiled and chirped softly. "danke lover." Adrian stepped a little closer. "are you worried about Kersha? you know its wasn't easy for her to birth Perrin." Deyna shook his head. "no..." Adrian set down his cup and hugged the otter. "Matt would be so proud of you otter. you've come so far." the otter smiled at that. "you're not going to let me be moody are you?" the wolf shook his head and grinned. "nope." the otter laughed. "okay fine. you win." they kissed softly and went back inside.

Kersha sat back in her seat as Sabrina smiled at her. "well, i must say i was half waiting for this." the grey vixen chuckled as she put her paws in front of her on the desk. "of course you can have your maternity leave, i agree it is very important to be sure Perrin gets used to this. how is my little goddaughter doing?" Kersha smiled as she talked about her little girl. how fast she was growing, her interest in art and the way her father was teaching her martial arts moves and disciplines. Sabrina listened and smiled. "she sounds very happy, i'm glad." Alex brought in some tea and they relaxed. "so how are things with those men of yours then?"

"i'm home." Kersha called as she entered the house. "MOMMY!" Perrin squealed happily as she burst into the atrium and grabbed her mother round the waist as high as she could reach. "glad to see you too kiddo, where are your fathers?" Perrin looked up at her mother, her eyes bright. "daddy is on the phone and poppa is writing." she stroked her soft hair. "and were you a good girl when mommy was at work?" the little head nodded. "uh huh." Kersha knelt a little. "give mommy a biiiig hug." the little otter hugged her mother round the neck and churred deeply. 'love you mommy." Kersha smiled. "love you Perrin."

Kersha churred as Adrian rubbed her shoulders and Deyna her foot paws. "ohh heavenly." she closed her eyes as they sat by the fireplace. Perrin was in bed and all was quiet. Deyna chirped as he looked at his wife. 'how are you feeling love?" she opened one eye. "you're starting already?" he blushed. "well um, yes." she reached out and scritched his nose lovingly, her other paw on the gentle slope of her pregnancy. "i feel fine love, great even." Adrian nuzzled her neck. "we are both happy to hear that."

Kersha huffed as she eeeased herself into her chair. "uhhffff." Perrin looked up from her book. "you okay mommy?" Kersha smiled and nodded. "your little brother is heavy," she churred, rubbing the sizable mound of her belly. she had a sweater stretched over her swelling breasts and bulging belly and Perrin got up and walked over to her. "can i listen?" her mother smiled and nodded. "of course honey." the little otteress laid her ear on her mommy's tummy and listened. "oooo, i can hear him moving!" she cooed as Kersha softly stroked her soft hair. "he wants to come and out meet his big sister." she smiled and Perrin looked up at her. "soon mommy?" the elder otter smiled. "just a little more Perrin, be patient."

the nurse held Perrin's paw as she watched her fathers go with her mommy on the gurney. "see you soon honey." Kersha smiled to her daughter, her face glistening with sweat as each of her men held a paw. when she was out of sight the skunk nurse smiled down at Perrin. "hi there, i'm Angie. do you want some ice cream?"

the nurse led Perrin down the halls, the little otter holding her paw tightly. she pushed open a big door and led her in. her mother was laying a big bed and by her side were her daddies. Kersha looked very tired but she smiling. "hi sweetie, cmere." with a big happy grin, Perrin let the nurses paw go and ran to her parents. Deyna scooped her up in his big strong paws and lifted her up. "someone want to meet you." he said with a smile and Perrin looked as he showed her the little bundle in her mommies arms. it was a tiny wolf pup, all wrinkly and scrunch faced. "this is your new baby brother Perrin, his name is Matthew." Adrian said as Perrin looked with wide-eyed awe at this new miracle.

the end

authors note---this story has some sad undertones for me. when i stared to write it, my boyfriend was the wonderful Deyna otter. shortly after we began this work together though, we decided to separate. we remain friends, and i am glad that i was able to finish this story, a testament to what we had and i will always cherish.
